Jerrome's Post

We are all told leading successfully is one of the biggest impacts you can make to the world , but  forgetting to support the leaders around is forgotten. Why is creating a movement so underrated in our society? Why is being the first follower so difficult? What skill is most important to being the first believer? Have you ever been the first follower and when? Why is this form of movement so much easier to do when your a child?  :)

  1. 1. Society isn’t comfortable with change and everyone knows that. People fear that if they start to change something, no one will follow and they will be a failure. Failure is people’s biggest fear no matter who you are, some people can control it better than others, but we all have that fear inside us that questions everything we do, even the smallest things.
    2. Being the first follower is difficult because at that point it’s easy to sit back and laugh with 99% of the people but to be the one being laughed at with 1% is scary, discouraging and a huge step not knowing if you will help start something or end it
    3. 3. The best skill to have when you are the first is, being apathetic towards what people think because if you do something you want to and don’t care about others opinions then you are already succeeding when you start, because you’re the only person you are trying to impress and by doing what you want you start out succeeding.
    4. In Grade ten, there was a kid sitting by himself in grade nine that my friend knew, so a little time pasted and my buddy decided to get up to go sit with him and talk. Immediately after I went over to join him and spent lunch together.
    5. Well its easier when you’re a child because you don’t worry about what people think, all that matters is what you want to do and what you think of it. If it seems like a good idea and itd be fun or interesting you go do it and that’s that.
